Daniel Miles commenced his career in the highways and infrastructure sector before working on large civil engineering, marine and infrastructure projects in senior commercial management roles.
In 2008, Daniel undertook an MSc in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution and then specialised in contract services and dispute resolution. He now provides quantum advice to clients in mediation, adjudication and arbitration as well as acting in Expert Witness and senior contract advisory roles. Daniel also lectures at Derby University on contract administration and valuation for the Asphalt Technology courses. He is experienced at working with the NEC, FIDIC, JCT, TPC 2005 and PPC 2000 forms of contract and has provided both dispute resolution services and contract advisory services under all of these forms.
Daniel has had numerous appointments as both Expert Witness and claims advisor in disputes relating to construction, professional negligence claims and quantification of damages. He has provided services in connection with financial and quantum matters in infrastructure, building, civils, energy, nuclear, marine, mineral extraction, highways and utilities disputes in the UK and overseas.
